富山県南西部にある、日本有数の木彫りの町・井波。バーチャル井波プロジェクトは、人口8000人の小さなこのまちに住む有志によって運営される、仮想空間「バーチャル井波」をつくるプロジェクトです。現実のまちと同じように、世界中の誰もが訪れることができ、ショップ、ギャラリー、オフィスなど様々な機能が集約しています。バーチャル井波は「井波」と「木彫」の２つのキーワードに特化したまちで、これらの話題に関心のある人々が集い、交流しながら、新たな創造が生まれる場所を目指します。
Inami is one of the most famous woodcarving towns in Japan. The Virtual Inami Project is a project to create a virtual space, run by volunteers living in this small town. Just as in the real town, anyone from around the world can visit, and various functions such as stores, galleries, and offices are concentrated in the virtual town. Virtual Inami is a town specializing in two key words: “Inami” and “wood carving,” and aims to be a place where people interested in these topics can gather, interact, and create new creations.
PROJECT
バーチャル井波では、日々の交流の中からさまざまなプロジェクトが生まれます。何かやりたいことがある時は、仮想空間上の町でアイデアを発表し、それに賛同する人たちと協同でプロジェクトを実現することができます。その中で、とくに社会的に価値のあると認められるプロジェクトは、バーチャル井波の公認プロジェクトとして優先的に支援を行います。
In Virtual Inami, various projects are born from daily interactions. Whenever you have an idea for something you want to do, you can present your idea in the virtual town and realize the project in cooperation with those who support it. Among these projects, those that are recognized as being of particular social value will be given priority for support as official projects of Virtual Inami.
